Fagu , is one of the color dance which is popular dance in hole Nepal .This dance is most popular in Terai .Specially This dance is celebrate in the spring season. This season is considered as the season god Kamdev of passion . So it tends to express the erotic and amorous sentiments of the young boys and young girls. One group dancer leads the group and often repeats his utterance on his drum, fagu ho fagu and dances. Others follow him. In kathmandu this dance start at first day in full moon and second day celebrate in Terai
In kathmandu Darbar square dig the pole of wood then began this festival before seven days. There are one story about the begging . In the story of Hindu puran lord Krishna killed the monster of face of Holi so that this name is keep by name of holi. This way they move from one door to another in group. Every house owner receives this group with respect and serves what he can serve. Red powder and red color are freely applied in the face and body. The whole group becomes red. Musical instruments are used in this dance. They are percussion instruments like Dhol, Damph and cymbals and Madal. This dance is a great source of popular entertainment in Nepal Terai. The spring festival of Fagua in Nepal Terai is the most buoyant of all Hindu festivals.
